Scope note: Receptor de factores de crecimiento de fibroblastos que contiene tres DOMINIOS DE INMUNOGLOBULINA I extracelulares y se expresa con dos isoformas. Una se expresa en el MESÉNQUIMA y es activada por el FACTOR 2 DE CRECIMIENTO DE FIBROBLASTOS. La segunda se expresa principalmente en las CÉLULAS EPITELIALES y es activada por el FACTOR 7 DE CRECIMIENTO DE FIBROBLASTOS y por el FACTOR 10 DE CRECIMIENTO DE FIBROBLASTOS. La mutación del gen del receptor 2 de factores de crecimiento de fibroblastos puede dar lugar a síndromes de craneosinostosis (p. ej., SÍNDROME DE APERT y ENFERMEDAD DE CROUZON).
